The reputation of the dry and deep snow of the Siberia is well established. As with all our travels, we go to two Guides, Seb and I plus a Russian Guide, Konstantin with whom I have already worked, and only skiers we know or have been recommended to us. On this trip, we added a day of sightseeing in Moscow, to visit the city of course, but also to make sure to find our skis in Irkutsk! On site we will be housed in a cabin in the mountains, simple, but clean and heated. The relief of the area lends itself particularly well to powder skiing, with routes in the forest, but also steeper lines on the peaks. View of Lake Baikal Impenetrable! The expected gradients are between 800 and 1500m per day, often in several climbs and with the flexibility to make several groups. The experience of our previous travels convinced us that going to two Guides, was a huge asset on this kind of destination, both for safety and to adapt daily to the form and motivation of groups. On this trip we work with the travel agency Matins du Monde, which provides the administrative part.
